A Register in Your Pocket

A smartphone seems to be able to handle any task. Whatever is necessary there always is an app for that or for this. It was just a matter of time that an app came along that takes buying things from the phone to the next level. It’s called ScanOut, the mobile app that transforms a smartphone into a register for in-store purchases. ScanOut is saving time and relieving headaches. Here’s how it works:

No More Lines

Instead of standing in a long line with annoying people, a person can check out using their smartphone and avoid standing still for thirty minutes. Haven’t you wished this? Especially when you only need a few items? A person with just a few items standing behind full carts is a typical grocery store scene. Even with an “express” lane.

Scan and Pay

The ScanOut mobile app transforms the smartphone into a register. This means the camera becomes the scanner. And once each item is scanned it is added to the digital cart. Once all the items are in the “cart” simply pay with a credit card. Having a credit card on file makes this process even faster. Then the next time someone goes to the grocery store all they will need is their phone to complete a purchase. After each purchase the user is given a digital receipt as proof of purchase.

Bag and Go
Bringing a reusable bag is going to be a big time saver here. ScanOut is about removing the hassle from the shopping experience, not giving new ones. So bring a bag to bag up all those items so there’s no need to get in the grocery store line. Now it’s just pick out dinner, scan the items, click and buy, walk out the door. Shopping for groceries just keeps getting easier and easier when there’s a register in your pocket.
